High accuracy is achieved with the use of ball screws and servo motors, a spindle position encoder and a curvic  coupling toolpost. For convenience, the MEGA-72 offers ease of operation, easy loading/unloading of work pieces and a semiautomatic tailstock feeding device. Heavy duty cutting and precision turning are achieved through the use of a highly rigid one-piece cast bed and leg structure and a highly rigid headstock. Turcite-laminated slide surfaces ensure high stability and accuracy.
